All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here - the Witch of Dimensions, Yuuko.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a horrible game.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request - and the tv in the Sitting Room - to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Despite being told someone will die, it...felt remarkably peaceful. Could one of their own really be able to kill someone?

...Or, maybe...this is just the silence that comes just before a massive storm breaks, and sweeps away everything...

Is it possible that she's a different Yuuko? From an alternate universe, for instance?

I've seen many people from many different worlds, even-

[He pauses, and casts a subtle glance at Syaoran.]

-even other versions of myself, or people I know. People come and go from the shop all the time, I've met thousands of travelers from other worlds.

I have never seen another version of Yuuko-san, and I'm pretty sure there's a reason for that.

I suppose there's not much point in asking whether you know of anyone who has the appropriate abilities for this.

I don't, but I also don't know too many witches. If Yuuko-san can travel across dimensions, then I'm sure someone can steal a name.

But nobody specific you know of. We're going in blindly, then.

Right. I can't think of anyone I know who would want to steal her name like this.

Do you know of anyone who could, regardless of whether it seems like they would?

...just one, but I don't think he would. Just because any game he would run would be a thousand times more complicated than this.

Most witches would set up protections to prevent that. Names are dangerous. You can tear anything a part at the seams if you can use it's name.

On that note. Is the name she uses for you real?

You mean my name, 'Watanuki'? Yeah, that's my real name.

Well that settles the whole argument. You're just a poor, bullied employee. She hasn't named you so there's no ownership going on.

Employers don't just suddenly name their employees like that.
