All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here - the Witch of Dimensions, Yuuko.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a horrible game.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request - and the tv in the Sitting Room - to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Despite being told someone will die, it...felt remarkably peaceful. Could one of their own really be able to kill someone?

...Or, maybe...this is just the silence that comes just before a massive storm breaks, and sweeps away everything...

Perhaps this false Yuuko has trapped her, somehow. [a pause] Or, this is indeed the real Yuuko. What makes you so sure she's a fake?

I know Yuuko-san. She doesn't use her magic to do flashy entrances. She doesn't use her magic to force me to do anything. And most importantly, she wouldn't agree to a game like this. The cost of death is too high, she just wouldn't grant any wishes with that as the payment.

Hmmm... Well, perhaps by stealing her name, this faker also stole her abilities. Perhaps she is trapped somewhere, powerless.

But if she stole her abilities, then why didn't she steal the shop too? That should be here on this island somewhere.

Maybe it is. We have yet to scour the island, after all.

I guess I have something to do this week, then.

I won't be, I'm sure Syaoran will follow me around. Plus some of the others too, maybe.

If I can find an appropriate weapon around here, I will accompany you. Reconnaissance and infiltration are quite simple for me.

I really doubt that we're going to come across anything you need a weapon for.

If I were not stripped of my powers, I would agree. But as it stands, I won't be caught off guard.

Ah...right, a youkai wouldn't be used to doing things without powers, huh? So a weapon might not be too bad after all.

'Yokai' is just a word that means 'demon' or 'spirit'. You can be a yokai and a hedgehog at the same time.
