MOCK ROUND - WEEK 2 TRIAL

It was noon on Friday.

No matter where they were, no matter what they were doing...the moment the chimes rang out through the hall, they felt a change.

The world began to expand, as they felt themselves leaving the world they were on, and towards the world they'd experienced once before. 🗈

Perhaps on another plane, in another place, someone else heard music as they gazed upon the proceedings.

Their forms, just like before, were different now. This was less shocking than it was last time, and yet...

...There was a deep silence in the room, one that no one wanted to break. It was the faint tension in the air, like the moments before a race or a competition begins.

Only this time....this was the last time they would be competing. This was the final week...and the final chance they had at securing their wishes - while denying someone theirs.

...Just a little more to go.

So maybe she was out on a stroll really late, and someone got the drop on her there?

Did you check whether her door and window were locked? It may help us to know if she left her room voluntarily, or if something else happened.

[Something else that definitely wasn't being magicked into the middle of the garden. They know better after last week.]

Nope. I didn't check her room at all. Only Bruno's.

[ Whoops ]

[Whoops.]

... Then we'll have to make do with what we have. It certainly seems strange that Lunafreya would be out alone in the middle of the garden at night -- perhaps someone was with her, or physically moved her there.

Not unless she was hoping to make herself a target. She's kind of...

[ Gestures. ]

She has a big heart and would spare others of any kind of pain if she could.

Could she have been lured out if someone was in trouble?

[Or pretending to be in trouble...]

Yeah, I think so. She probably would have come if someone asked to meet her, too.

[ She was extra polite like that ]

Lambda seemed willing to help in the previous murder before, so I wouldn't be surprised if she had a hand in helping her get to the garden. [ Though... ] If not her, then whoever targeted her might've lured her out there or pre-arranged a meeting with her?

[ There's no way to tell the latter of that as far as he can tell, however. ]

We may have to focus on other aspects of this mystery to understand Lunafreya's whereabouts.

[Since. They didn't check the rooms. Whoops.]

...Or put together the type of person she was in order to make a good guess.

[ He looks thoughtful. ]

We know that Lunafreya liked to help people whenever she could - or she told me as much. Her job was essentially doing that back at home, and she's the type of person who'd never refuse to help someone in need. That's the kind of vibe I'd have gotten, even from a distance.

I'm thinking it's likely someone took advantage of that to lure her outside.

I can agree with that -- she seemed to spend a lot of energy helping people and soothing them, no matter who they were.

[See: Vanitas, and others.]

It's entirely possible that she was lured outside if someone pretended to be in trouble, or if there was enough commotion to justify it.
