[ The smile that grows on his lips is different than the bright one from before. In a way it's understated, but Gil might be able to grasp that despite his diminutive frame, there is much more to Alcor than meets the eye. ]

In a way, yes. A weapon is not supposed to gain cognizance and free will, and yet I did. And for as broken as that makes me, I have no regrets.

[ Polaris can take that up with him but it can't because he killed it. ]

It did fall, King Gilgamesh. It fell, and they rebelled and aligned themselves with me to destroy the ruler of the Heavenly Throne, Polaris.

But as for your question...I love humanity, and humans of course. They come up in all shapes, sizes, beliefs, wills, and for as much as they are distinct they are capable of uniting with each other in times of crisis. Only mankind would rally against the Seven Days of Judgement against all odds, refusing to give up hope even when there is only darkness. It was ludicrous, foolish, hopeless...and yet they persisted regardless.

Their free will, their drive to continue onward no matter what opposition they face makes them worthy of their existence.
