[... ah, that earns a kind of. rueful look. it's not a pleasant smile, but thinking about Mori is never pleasant, so.]

Ango wanted to shove into the Boss's face the cost of the conflict that was happening at the time. How many people were dying, the fact that they were leaving family behind, the fact that more suffered for having lost that person. Despite his work, he really did loathe people viewing humans as commodities.

The Boss, well... Mori-san appreciated his work, as Ango put it.

What I don't think Ango realized at the time was that for every profile involving an enemy to the Port Mafia, there likely would have been a sweep of eliminating everyone with a connection to that person. Mori-san was very utilitarian when it came to things. "The boss is both at once a leader and a slave to the organization, so one must get their hands filthy for the sake of the organization."

... Ango probably found out at some point, though. It's probably why he didn't protest that much when we dragged him out for a drink. Who can say?
