[ A dream.

Such words were undoubtedly poetic, and sounded naive. But perhaps so did his own suppositions earlier on in this mess.

He remembered speaking of his own dream that he shared with the person he considered to be his one friend. ]


Perhaps so. An interesting answer to hear even now when in essence our own future could be considered to be uncertain. And the foolishness of those mongrels are ceaselessly repeated.

Of course, I don't hate such a response. The idea of creating a better future in the face of immense futility is too ideal. Something that perhaps only gods believed they could truly obtain. But that's why it'd be an admirable end.
